ABBAYE DE SYLVANÈS (AVEYRON)
“Image, Archetype, Duration and the Collective.”
Beginning from Diotima’s discussion of the “name” at the end of the Symposium, Michael Pisaro will discuss how distinct and limited sonic and/or score images serve as the guiding principle in certain experimental works, including a couple recent pieces. In the end this concept will be connected to collective action as a performance problem ; one with perhaps a larger reach than the score itself.
